Cafe Indoor/Outdoor

One of our smaller projects, we loved working on as we used a customised louvre solution for this arrived through paramteric computation. A sustainable project which does not require any air conditioning, the louvres act to reduce both heat and glare and create a beautifully shaded space with partial views to green landscape on the outside.

We tried to re-imagine what a cafe should be in a city like Hyderabad, where heat is an problem when trying to design outdoor spaces that are part of the street, this small space we had designed a simple modular grid structure roofed by high quality polycarbonate sheet to reduce glare while keeping the space lit through out the day. The walls are covered with louvres arranged at different angles to make it a dynamic space from outside, but from the inside the space becomes even more dramatic.
